Set within one of Slovakia's leading cultural institutions, the Košice State Philharmonic has completed a major upgrade of its concert hall lighting, replacing legacy halogen fixtures with an all-LED system to enhance visual quality, efficiency, and day-to-day operation. All new fixtures were supplied in a white finish to blend seamlessly with the venue's architectural concept.

At the heart of the upgrade were PROLIGHTS fixtures supplied by Showmedia. 

EclFresnel VW, 250 W variable-white Fresnel, provided a smooth, flattering key light with a flexible zoom for tight or wide coverage. 

To bathe the room, the 200 W variable-white, fan-free EclPendant VW with interchangeable optics set the right spread in each area while maintaining a comfortable, consistent house wash.

Up front, EclProfile FWVW were installed with 15 - 30° zoom optics and offered linear CCT control from 2,700 to 5,600 K; their high color fidelity, sharp focus and uniform field enabled precise shaping. 

Completing the package, Ra 3000Profile moving profiles added dynamic looks and expanded the scenographic possibilities across performances. Together, the all-LED rig ensured natural color, clean whites and quiet operation across the hall.

The shift to LED brings significant sustainability and operational benefits. Energy consumption is reduced by up to 70% compared to the previous halogen rig, while longer lifespans and simplified handling cut maintenance demands. Fine CCT control and uniform output allow the technical team to optimize looks for classical repertoire, contemporary projects, and broadcast needs, ensuring a refined audience experience in every scenario.

With this PROLIGHTS upgrade, the Košice State Philharmonic joins the ranks of modern venues that place technological innovation and visual quality among the priorities of their artistic programming.
