For the final concert of the 21st Viva Musica! festival in Bratislava, virtuoso mandolinist Avi Avital appeared with his new ensemble Between Worlds, presenting “Italy”: a programme dedicated to Italian music, with a particular focus on the traditions of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean.
To support the musical journey on stage, local rental company TLpro supplied a complete PROLIGHTS lighting package, provided by Showmedia, with lighting designer Tomas Lecky creating a visual environment that followed the dynamics of the performance, from intimate acoustic passages to high-energy ensemble pieces.
The rig was designed to remain discreet and elegant, keeping the focus on the musicians while subtly underlining the changes in mood, tempo and texture throughout the concert, and included Astra Profile900HQ Astra Hybrid420, Astra Wash19Pix and Astra Wash7Pix fixtures, used to light the stage and create a variety of looks throughout the evening.
Astra Profile900HQ provided a high-power LED profile solution for framing and highlighting performers and areas of the stage with precise beam control, while Astra Hybrid420, capable of operating in beam, spot and wash modes, further enriched the show with striking effects.
Astra Wash19Pix and Astra Wash7Pix were used as LED wash lights, combining a compact form factor with a wide zoom range and individual pixel control. Together, they allowed flexible stage coverage and the possibility of creating simple graphic and movement effects when required.
By combining power, precision and flexibility, the PROLIGHTS fixtures responded dynamically to the music, highlighting the contrasts and colours of the programme and confirming PROLIGHTS as a reliable choice for high-profile live productions.
