Major Lighting Upgrade for St Hilda's Performing Arts Centre in Western Australia

A major lighting upgrade has been completed at the Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre, the centrepiece performance space of St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls in Perth, Western Australia. Led by Theatre Manager Noah Gliosca, the project introduces 20 PROLIGHTS Jet Profile300LT LED moving profile spotlights as the backbone of a new high-performance theatrical rig, supplied by Show Technology, the official PROLIGHTS distributor in Australia and New Zealand.

The decision was the result of a careful, evidence-based process. At the 2025 Show Technology Showcase, Noah Gliosca and lighting designer Richard Timms evaluated the Jet Profile300LT directly against other fixtures, coming away convinced by its output, precision optics, and build quality. Richard Timms subsequently purchased 10 units for his own production inventory, bringing them into the venue on hire for an external production in November 2025. The fixture's performance in the space removed any remaining doubt and confirmed it as the right foundation for the full upgrade.

The Jet Profile300LT is a compact, quiet LED moving profile spotlight built around a 300W white LED source and a long-throw optical system with a 140mm front lens, delivering 12,000 lumens. Its combination of high-quality gobo projection, smooth output, and flexible functionality across both theatrical and event configurations made it a natural fit for a venue that hosts everything from school productions to professional hire events.

"The PROLIGHTS Jet Profile300LTs deliver a fantastic feature set for the price," said Noah Gliosca. "They feature a high-quality gobo selection with crisp projection and strong output with good optical control. Their versatile functionality for both theatrical and event use is amazing."

With layout and commissioning support from Richard Timms Lighting, the upgraded system is designed to serve performers, audiences, and student technicians at the highest level, reinforcing the Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre's role as a cornerstone of the school's Performing Arts programme.
