Renowned violinist Olen Cesari, the Albanian-born artist celebrated worldwide for his ability to blend classical virtuosity with contemporary expression, returned to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Tirana, one of the capital's most prestigious stages and an ideal setting for a highly anticipated cultural event.
The creative challenge across the three evenings was to unite the legacy of Albanian music with the modernity of an avant-garde symphonic production. To bring this vision to life, lighting designer Massimo Tomasino turned to PROLIGHTS solutions, distributed in Albania by ASLV, making technology an integral part of the musical narrative itself.
Illuminating the prestigious RTSH Symphony Orchestra 64 musicians alongside numerous international guests, demanded exceptional precision. PROLIGHTS solutions proved the ideal choice for the varied and demanding requirements of the production.
Around 60 PanoramaIP Spot IP-rated LED moving heads were positioned along the front lighting positions, delivering precise illumination for both the orchestra and soloists while also serving as backlight to add depth to the scene. Placed on the floor for side cuts across the musicians, the 50 PanoramaIP WBX units fully met expectations: "I have to say they are really powerful and punchy, I liked them very much," said Tomasino.
The sharp beams of the 24 PanoramaIP AirBeam fixtures added depth to the scene, while the versatility of the 40 Astra Hybrid330 LED moving heads completed the rig, ranging across beam, spot and wash functions to deliver high-impact scenic effects.
The most iconic visual moments were entrusted to the Sunblast FLX LED strobes: mounted on the distinctive V-shaped truss structures, they became the defining graphic element of the stage, while the SunBlast 3000FC units enveloped the entire Palazzo dei Congressi with their full, powerful output.
ASLV noted that the entire lighting concept was designed to follow the musical narrative and enhance the emotional depth of the performance, transforming the stage into an immersive and dynamic environment through a carefully crafted interplay of light, shadow and movement.
